A cleric and businessman, Okwudili Ossai, has initiated legal action against INEC and the NDC, challenging the substitution of his name for the Enugu North District ticket in the 2027 general elections. Ossai claims he won the NDC primary but his name was later replaced with Asadu’s on the INEC portal.
The lawsuit, filed in Abuja, seeks to affirm Ossai’s candidacy and set aside the purported submission of Asadu’s documents. Ossai has provided evidence, including an NDC affidavit, affirming his primary win.
