Lagos is gearing up to host the 2026 CAF Awards. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu confirmed the state’s readiness after a CAF inspection team visited the National Theatre, the proposed venue. The delegation, led by Dr. Christian Emeruwa, assessed facilities for the event and the upcoming CAF General Assembly.
“Lagos is ready and we look forward to putting on a brilliant show for African football,” stated Governor Sanwo-Olu. Nigeria previously hosted the awards in 2015 and will host the General Assembly in Abuja, with Lagos hosting the awards ceremony.
