Students of DS Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic in Ogun State blocked the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway on Tuesday to protest the killing of a colleague during an overnight armed robbery attack that left three others injured in the Eruku student community.

Angry students, a blocked highway, and a demand for safety. According to Punch, students of DS Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic in Ogun State shut down the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway on Tuesday to protest the killing of a colleague during an overnight robbery in the Eruku community.
Rector Dr. Goke Rafiu confirmed armed robbers invaded about 15 houses, killing one student and injuring three others, one of whom had an ear severed. The polytechnic postponed exams scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday to allow students to grieve, with exams now resuming Friday.
Students’ Union president Owoigbe Blessing said the attack was not the first in the area, calling on the Ogun State Government to boost security around the institution.
