Burna Boy and Shakira’s collaborative single “Dai Dai” has become the highest-charting FIFA World Cup song ever, surpassing Shakira’s own “Waka Waka,” after jumping 25 points to number 17 this week.

Burna Boy just made World Cup chart history. According to Vanguard, his collaboration with Shakira, “Dai Dai,” has become the highest-charting FIFA World Cup song ever, jumping 25 points this week to a new peak of number 17, dethroning Shakira’s own classic “Waka Waka.”
The track also peaked at number 3 on the Canadian Hot 100 and is currently battling for the top spot on the UK Official Singles Chart.
In separate music news, Billboard has announced it is discontinuing its World Digital Song Sales chart, with the final edition published June 27, 2026. The chart, which tracked hits across Nigeria, Asia, South Africa and beyond, had previously been topped by Afrobeats stars Wizkid, Rema and Mr Eazi.
