Wike Says Fubara Has Corrected His Mistakes
No hard feelings, says Wike — just a course correction. According to Vanguard, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has defended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s reconciliation with his political camp, insisting there was “no sin” in politics and that Fubara had no other option than to return.
Wike said he had predicted the reconciliation earlier and welcomed Fubara “with an open mind,” adding that the development would strengthen efforts to deliver votes for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
The comments came as Wike inspected ongoing road projects in the FCT, including the ISEX Road Corridor, expected for commissioning in December, and the nearly completed Apo-Karshi Road, both part of the administration’s infrastructure push.
