One less witness on the stand. According to Daily Post Nigeria, AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has dropped plans to call DSS Director-General Oluwatosin Ajayi as a witness in his ongoing defamation trial over President Tinubu.
Sowore admitted Tuesday that the evidence could be obtained from another DSS official instead. The move came after Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi objected to the subpoena, arguing the relevant document had already been tendered twice by its actual author, Uwen Davis, who testified for Sowore on July 22.
Sowore’s lawyer, Olumide Fusika, also queried Fagbemi’s appearance, saying another lawyer was on record for the Federal Government. The case has been adjourned to August 3 for continued defense.
