Davido: I want to make music with Rihanna

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has named global icon Rihanna as his dream music collaborator, though he admits it’s unlikely to happen soon.

Davido made the remark during a Twitch livestream interview with host @Theboyfromojo, according to Peoples Gazette. He said Rihanna is no longer focused on music, now making billions from her Fenty beauty business instead.

Despite the uncertainty, Davido praised her, saying a collaboration would produce “dope music.” The admiration appears mutual, as Rihanna has previously named Davido’s “Unavailable,” featuring Musa Keys, as her favourite song, prompting Davido to affectionately call her “my Ri Ri.”

Davido has collaborated with international acts including Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby and DaBaby, while Rihanna’s last studio album, “Anti,” was released in 2016.
