ICPC DETAILS FORGERY CASE, CONFIRMS NNAJI’S ARREST
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has laid out its case against former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, accusing him of forging a degree certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a false NYSC discharge certificate submitted during his 2023 ministerial screening.
According to Vanguard, the anti-graft agency confirmed Nnaji was arrested on Wednesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, with help from the DSS, after repeatedly ignoring invitations for questioning.
The ICPC said Nnaji remains in custody at its Abuja headquarters as investigations continue, adding that the allegations are yet to be tested in court and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
