Former Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Uche Nnaji has been arrested in Abuja over a certificate forgery case.
UCHE NNAJI ARRESTED
Former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Uche Nnaji, has been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, after arriving from Enugu on a chartered flight, The ICIR reports.
Nnaji, who served in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet before resigning on October 7, 2025, is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission for prosecution.
A Federal High Court in Abuja had recently ordered the ICPC to arrest him over alleged certificate forgery.
The ICIR reports that Nnaji, now the PDP governorship candidate in Enugu State for the 2027 election, has been battling allegations that his UNN degree and NYSC discharge certificates were forged.
