Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke has warned that escalating political killings ahead of the August 15 election could spark a revolution, insisting a state of emergency would not work in the state.
Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke isn’t holding back — he says continued political bloodshed in his state could spark a full-blown revolution, and no state of emergency will stop it.
Speaking during a condolence visit to Esa-Oke, Adeleke declared, “If revolution starts, nobody should try state of emergency. It cannot work in Osun. Enough is enough.” He was there to mourn slain Accord Party member Ajayi Aderogba, allegedly shot dead by APC thugs, ahead of the August 15 governorship poll.
Adeleke claimed he had sent the Inspector-General of Police, Tunde Disu, video evidence of the attacks but said “nothing is done yet.” He also vowed his administration could protect residents and demanded justice for victims, Peoples Gazette reports.
