Police nab three over killing of ex-OGTV broadcaster, guard

Ogun State Police have arrested three suspects, including a former security guard who confessed to masterminding the murder of retired broadcaster Olakitan Oyesiku and her guard.

A grudge from an old job may have cost two people their lives.

Ogun State Police have arrested three suspects, including a former security guard, over the killing of retired OGTV broadcaster Olakitan Oyesiku and her guard, Pelumi Adetayo, Punch Online reports.

The arrests followed intelligence gathering, forensic work and technical tracking after the pair were found dead at Oyesiku’s Owode-Egba home on June 21. Police Commissioner Bode Ojajuni said detectives recovered Oyesiku’s missing Lexus RX 330 and traced key leads from a handwritten note found at the scene.

Principal suspect Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip, 22, reportedly confessed and admitted recruiting two accomplices, allegedly driven by grievances from his time working for the deceased.

Investigations continue ahead of prosecution, Punch reported.
