Jehu Nnaji has been nominated as the Enugu State governorship candidate for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2027 general elections. Nnaji emerged as the sole candidate during the party’s direct primary election held in Enugu State.
The NNPP chairman in Enugu State, Chuba Mgbagbu, stated that the process was peaceful and transparent, with no other aspirants showing interest in the ticket. Mgbagbu expressed confidence in the party’s ability to win the state in 2027.
