The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan, has assured Nigerians that their votes will count in the 2027 general election.
INEC: YOUR VOTE WILL COUNT IN 2027
According to SaharaReporters, Amupitan gave the assurance while addressing concerns over public confidence in the electoral process, insisting the commission is committed to conducting free, fair and credible polls.
He said INEC has strengthened its technological infrastructure and electoral processes to prevent manipulation, urging Nigerians not to be discouraged by misinformation or voter apathy. Amupitan stressed that every valid vote would be protected and accurately reflected in the final results.
The INEC chairman reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability and adherence to the law, urging citizens to participate actively in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 elections.
