US Issues Fresh Warning to Nigerians Over AI-Edited Passport Photos
No filters, no AI — just you. Per Daily Post Nigeria, the US Mission issued the warning via its official X account, stating: “Do NOT use AI or digital editing tools on your passport photo. We will not accept photos that are edited or filtered.”
The mission explained that photos must be recent, taken within the last six months, and accurately reflect the applicant’s current appearance to help TSA and CBP officials verify identity at borders. It warned that submitting digitally altered photos could significantly delay application processing, and advised applicants to consult official US passport photo guidelines before submission.
