The Federal Government has approved N4bn in take-off grants for two newly established tertiary institutions in Abuja and Lagos State to support their early operations.
The Federal Government has approved N2bn each as take-off grants for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Polytechnic in Abuja and the Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe, Lagos State.
Minister of Education Tunji Alausa disclosed this during the inauguration of key officials appointed to lead the institutions.
Alausa said the new schools are part of efforts to expand access to higher education and strengthen science and technology capacity.
“Every child in this country deserves access to the highest quality education comparable to global standards,” he said, adding that the grants would help establish basic administrative and academic structures.
