Terrorists on Monday invaded Kirchinga community in Madagali LGA of Adamawa State—home village of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri—killing former councillor Hon. Thlama Sini and abducting his two sons in an attack that has heightened fear among residents long troubled by sporadic assaults.
Local sources said the attackers seized Sini and his children from their home, and when he pleaded that he was “diabetic and hypertensive and could not make the journey into the forest” and asked them “to name their price,” they refused, taking him to the outskirts of the village where they shot him dead before fleeing with the boys.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement as the search for the abducted children continues.
