He’s not done with Lagos politics — not by a long shot.
Peoples Gazette reports that Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has secured the African Democratic Congress governorship ticket for Lagos, defeating closest rival Owolabi Salis by a commanding 12,948 votes to 6,183.
The former Labour Party candidate who gave Sanwo-Olu a real scare in 2023 is back, and this time under a different banner.
“This victory belongs to all of us who believe in a better future,” Rhodes-Vivour told supporters after his declaration.
His message was clear — this is a movement, not just a campaign.
Whether ADC can give him the structure to match his popularity remains Lagos politics’ biggest question heading into 2027.
