The Labour Party (LP) is confident in its 2027 presidential ticket, highlighting the nomination of Bintu Konto as vice president as a testament to their commitment to inclusion and social justice. Party leaders, including National Chairman Nenadi Usman and presidential candidate Chibuzo Okereke, expressed this confidence during a meeting with Ms. Konto in Abuja. Usman stated that Konto’s selection aligns with the LP’s people-centered philosophy.
Usman emphasized that fielding a female vice-presidential candidate demonstrates the party’s belief in equal opportunity and makes the LP unique among major parties for the 2027 race. Okereke praised Konto’s experience and the vital role of women in national development.
