President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. This decision follows the recent firing of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, a move that triggered nationwide protests.
The shake-up has seen prominent military figures express their views. Gen. Mykhailo Drapatyi publicly supported Fedorov, stating that silence allows mistakes to fester. Col. Pavlo Yelizarov resigned, calling Fedorov’s removal a significant blow to national defense.
