FULL LIST: US releases names, photos of 124 Nigerians slated for deportation

The US Department of Homeland Security has published a list of 124 Nigerians it plans to deport over criminal convictions, though it has not disclosed the specific offences or a deportation timeline.

US Names 124 Nigerians For Deportation

Washington has dropped another list — and this time, 124 Nigerian names and faces are on it.

According to a report by Punch, the US Department of Homeland Security released the update on its website on Wednesday, tagging the individuals as part of its “worst-of-the-worst” criminal register. Photos accompanied the names, but DHS kept the details vague — no specifics on the crimes, no word on when deportation flights would happen.

The agency framed the move as delivering on President Trump’s mass deportation promise, insisting ICE officers were ramping up operations nationwide against non-citizens with serious convictions.

This latest list slots into a broader immigration crackdown that kicked off when Trump returned to office in January 2025, signing executive orders that declared illegal immigration a national emergency and pushed agencies to fast-track removals of people seen as security threats.

Guatemala currently leads in total deportees since the crackdown intensified, trailed by Honduras, Mexico and El Salvador, per official US immigration data. Washington has since widened deportation flights to Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

Nigeria has felt extra heat too — in June, the US placed partial visa restrictions on Nigerian travelers, citing worries over identity checks, visa overstays and security screening, Punch reported.
