FG dismisses claims of Defence Minister Christopher Musa’s resignation

The Federal Government has dismissed as false and malicious viral claims that Defence Minister General Christopher Musa (Rtd.) is planning to resign.

FG DENIES REPORTS OF DEFENCE MINISTER’S RESIGNATION

In a statement issued Monday, the Office of the Minister described reports circulating on social media alleging Musa’s planned resignation as “malicious” and “entirely fabricated,” urging Nigerians to disregard them.

According to Vanguard, the statement, signed by the Minister’s Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, said General Musa remains fully committed to implementing the Federal Government’s national defence and security agenda and continues to oversee the country’s defence strategy without interruption.

The government urged the public and media organisations to verify information through official channels before sharing or publishing it, reiterating that the Defence Minister remains in office and continues to carry out his official duties.
