The FCCPC is back to enforcing digital lending rules after a court victory. The Federal High Court affirmed the commission’s authority, dismissing a challenge from the Wireless Application Service Providers Association of Nigeria. This ruling validates the DEON Regulations, allowing the FCCPC to fully resume its oversight.
FCCPC Director Ondaje Ijagwu stated the commission will uphold the law, aiming for responsible lending and consumer protection in Nigeria’s booming digital finance sector.
