Four people were killed as large-scale drone strikes hit Moscow, escalating tensions days after deadly attacks on Kyiv.
At least four people have been killed following overnight drone strikes on Moscow and surrounding regions, according to The Sun. The attack, described as one of the largest on the Russian capital since the war began, comes days after Russian forces killed 24 civilians in Kyiv.
Russian authorities said they intercepted hundreds of drones, though several struck targets, damaging buildings and infrastructure. Three deaths were recorded in Moscow, while another occurred in Belgorod.
Officials added that 12 people were injured near an oil refinery, though the facility was not damaged. Flights were disrupted at Sheremetyevo airport following debris fallout.
A witness said, “Everything’s completely ****ed up. The sirens have gone off. I ran out of the house, grabbed a bag and the dog. I’m panicking. I’m shaking.”
