Residents of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area in Enugu State have been thrown into shock following two separate alleged beheading incidents in Ekwegbe and Ukehe communities on Friday.
ENUGU — At least three people have been allegedly killed in two separate beheading incidents in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, sparking widespread alarm among residents.
A suspect identified simply as Nwa Jonah allegedly beheaded his sister and her son in Ekwegbe community on Friday, according to a social media post by influencer Chijinkem Ugwuanyi.
“A man identified as Nwa Jonah from Ekwegbe in Igbo-Etiti LGA has beheaded his sister and nephew — son of the same sister he beheaded,” Ugwuanyi wrote on Facebook.
In a separate incident, a man in nearby Ukehe community reportedly killed his mother while allegedly under the influence of hard drugs.
Authorities are yet to officially comment on either development, and the circumstances surrounding both incidents remain unclear at the time of reporting.
