Ibrahim Galadima, the former chairman of the defunct Nigerian Football Association (NFA) and the Galadiman Fagge, passed away on Saturday at a hospital in Kano metropolis. He was 78 years old. His younger brother, Alhaji Abba Galadima, confirmed the passing in a statement, describing the loss as painful and noting that his brother “passed away on Saturday at a hospital in Kano metropolis.” The late administrator was widely recognized for a life spent in dedicated public service and for his influential role in the growth of football administration across the country.
Beyond his national impact on sports, Galadima held several high-profile roles in his home state, including serving as the commissioner of works and the chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission. He was a prominent figure in traditional leadership as the Galadiman Fagge, where he was credited with fostering community cohesion and enhancing local governance.
