Timi Frank has alleged that President Tinubu plans to relocate Nigeria’s capital to Lagos if re-elected, a claim yet to be confirmed by the presidency.
A former APC chieftain, Timi Frank, has alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu plans to relocate Nigeria’s capital from Abuja to Lagos if re-elected in 2027. Frank made the claim in a statement on Monday, accusing the administration of pursuing a Lagos-focused agenda.
He criticised the government for what he described as uneven development and appointments, alleging that key policies and projects favour Lagos State at the expense of other regions. Frank warned that such a trend could deepen national division and weaken unity across the country.
The presidency has not officially responded to the claim, which remains unverified. Frank also raised concerns about alleged regional imbalance in economic initiatives, insisting that inclusive governance is critical ahead of the 2027 general elections.
