Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has relocated to Dubai, his uncle confirmed, as the boxer continues recovery from injuries while preparing for a potential July return to the ring.
Former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has relocated to Dubai, according to his uncle Adedamola Joshua, who said the British-Nigerian boxing star moved months ago. “He has already moved to Dubai. He doesn’t need to inform us before making such a move, but I know he has moved a while ago, talking of months back now,” he said, noting the boxer’s stay in the city has been intermittent.
The move was also reflected in company filings for Joshua’s businesses, which now list the United Arab Emirates as his country of residence. His uncle said the boxer’s presence there is temporary during current tensions in the Middle East, adding, “His staying there is on and off, and definitely, he won’t be there now.” Promoter Eddie Hearn said Joshua is recovering from injuries and could return to the ring in July.
