Reno Omokri raises concerns about Sowore

Reno Omokri has publicly questioned Omoyele Sowore’s suitability for leadership, citing the activist’s controversial plan to legalize marijuana for economic growth as evidence of a concerning state of mind.

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has expressed concern regarding human rights activist Omoyele Sowore’s “state of mind” following a recent interview on Channels Television. Omokri criticized Sowore’s past suggestion to boost Nigeria’s economy through marijuana cultivation, labeling it a “childish” approach to governance. He argued that Nigeria’s fertile land should instead be used for more “valuable cash crops.”

“I worry about Sowore’s state of mind because… he said we should grow marijuana, Indian hemp,” Omokri stated during the Politics Today program. He dismissed Sowore’s legal defense strategies in his ongoing court cases, insisting that the activist should defend himself directly rather than deflecting. Omokri noted that marijuana remains a “Class B” drug in many nations and is unsuitable as an economic cornerstone.
