South Korean AI researcher YoungHoon Kim, who holds what he claims is the world’s highest IQ at 276 according to the World Mind Sports Council, has stated that God’s existence can be proven mathematically. The 36-year-old, who also has a theology degree from Seoul’s Yonsei University, recently posted on Instagram that “God is real 100 percent and Jesus is God.” His IQ score far exceeds the 140 threshold considered “genius level” and doubles the estimated IQs of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, both around 160.
In a September video viewed over 218,000 times, Kim presented three mathematical arguments for God’s existence. He explained that “a line cannot start without a first point,” arguing this proves existence required an initial starting point. He added that “you cannot cross an endless past,” comparing it to impossibly counting down from negative infinity. Kim concluded that “if you keep multiplying by one forever, you always stay at just one,” suggesting a greater external power was needed to create the universe.
Kim has made other controversial claims, including that Jesus will return within 10 years and that homosexuality is a sin. The researcher has also stated that “Jesus is the Smartest Man in the History of the World,” surpassing Einstein and Newton. His views echo those of American horse rancher Chris Langan, who reportedly has an IQ between 190 and 210 and developed the Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe to explain consciousness and the afterlife.
