The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Prosperity Assembly in Isolo, Lagos, distributed free food and household items during its second “Jesus Market” community outreach on Sunday. The event attracted both church members and local residents to the church premises.
Resident Pastor Bisi Folahan said the edition focused on expressing Christian love through giving. “This particular edition focuses on the love of Christ. Unlike the first edition, where we sold items at very low prices, this time we decided to give out most of the items free of charge,” Folahan stated. He noted each family received a package containing rice, beans, and garri.
The pastor said the initiative, supported by corporate partners and church members, involved resources worth millions of naira. He disclosed plans to expand future editions to include medical outreach and scholarships. Church officials confirmed the programme was open to all community members, not just congregants.
