The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has forecast sunshine and hazy conditions across Nigeria from Sunday to Tuesday.
In a weather outlook released on Saturday in Abuja, the agency said the northern region would experience sunny skies throughout the period, while hazy atmospheric conditions are expected over the North-Central states.
NiMet projected localised morning thunderstorms with light rainfall over parts of Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states on Sunday. It added that later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected across Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states, with similar patterns anticipated in southern states on Monday.
According to the agency, sunny and hazy conditions will persist in the northern and North-Central regions on Tuesday, while the South will have cloudy mornings followed by isolated thunderstorms with moderate rainfall.
NiMet advised residents with respiratory conditions to take precautions, urged motorists to be cautious during rainfall, and asked airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports.
