President Bola Tinubu has reportedly presented luxury vehicles — a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep, Toyota Hilux, and Hummer bus — to each state coordinator of the newly formed Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a nationwide political mobilisation network led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Multiple sources told SaharaReporters that the handover occurred Monday in Abuja, where coordinators were also instructed that “each of the states was told to contribute N1billion to the purse of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for Asiwaju’s 2027 campaign.”
Another insider stressed that Tinubu’s public endorsement of Uzodimma as Renewed Hope Ambassador “is not accidental,” describing the vehicles as part of a broader political machinery.
The development has drawn criticism given the nation’s worsening insecurity, with one source lamenting, “Despite the insecurity in the country, they still went ahead to present three different cars to each state for the 2027 campaign — while terrorists are busy kidnapping people every day.”
The presidency had earlier announced Uzodimma’s appointment, with spokesperson Bayo Onanuga stating he will “promote and disseminate the party’s achievements and milestones since 2023.”
