Bayer Leverkusen eliminated Borussia Dortmund from the German Cup last 16. Ibrahim Maza secured a 1-0 away victory for Leverkusen on Tuesday with the decisive goal.
Maza’s 34th-minute goal propelled the 2024 cup champions to success. This win also served as swift revenge against Dortmund, who had defeated them 2-1 in the Bundesliga recently.
RB Leipzig also progressed to the quarter-finals after a 3-1 home win over Magdeburg. Hertha Berlin and St Pauli secured their spots as well, with victories earlier that Tuesday.
