Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Monday, marking his first public meeting with the President since his retirement on October 24, 2025. Musa was seen arriving at 7:03 pm and was escorted by a senior security official, though the purpose of the meeting remains unknown.
The visit comes at a time of heightened insecurity in the North, including the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi, attacks on worshippers in Kwara, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna, even as security agencies intensify counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations.
