Kano State is appealing to the Federal Government for more diphtheria vaccines amid a severe outbreak. The Kano Centre for Disease Control reported that over 50 children have died in Rano and other local government areas. Director-General Prof Muhammad Abbas urged early reporting of symptoms to health facilities.
