Calabar Mall Fire: Five Arrested
Cross River State Police arrested five individuals—Victor Daniel, Gideon Asuquo, Okafor Michael, Ochi Joseph, and Veronica Ebi—for allegedly stealing items from the fire-damaged SPAR shopping mall in Calabar. The arrests followed Saturday’s inferno, suspected to be an electrical fault, as police had previously deployed security to deter looting.
