Kano State Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf announced that the government has spent N1.5 billion on a mass wedding program. This initiative aims to support newly married couples through comprehensive provisions.
The expenditure includes essential medical screenings for all participants, dowry payments of N100,000, and an additional N100,000 as a capital grant to encourage self-reliance. Couples also received household furniture and necessities to ensure a comfortable start to married life.
