Nigeria’s church community is mourning a giant. Per PUNCH, the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide announced that its Spiritual Father, His Most Eminence Emmanuel Alogbo, died early Thursday, July 30, at about 2:10 a.m. at his residence in Lagos, surrounded by family and staff.
Secretary-General Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye confirmed the news in a statement, describing Alogbo as a devoted spiritual leader whose life was dedicated to God and humanity. The church has scheduled daily prayer sessions for seven days, starting at 5 p.m., at his Ijaiye-Ojokoro residence.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Alogbo led one of Nigeria’s most prominent indigenous Christian denominations and was regarded as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders.
