FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has defended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s reconciliation with his political camp, saying the governor made no mistake by returning to the family that produced him.
Fubara Has Corrected His Mistakes – Wike
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says Governor Siminalayi Fubara did nothing wrong by reconciling with his political camp, insisting the governor had no other option, Vanguard reports.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday after inspecting FCT road projects, Wike dismissed claims the reconciliation amounted to forgiveness, saying, “In politics, there is no sin… What matters is recognising that you were on the wrong path and making the right decision.”
He recalled predicting the reconciliation earlier, adding that Fubara’s public declaration would help mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, with “our doors are open” for all to work together.
