Arise TV presenter Rufai Oseni has criticised Peter Obi’s recent television interview for lacking concrete policy details, insisting presidential candidates must explain their methodology rather than simply making broad promises.

Big promises, but where’s the plan? According to Politics Nigeria, Arise TV’s Rufai Oseni tore into Peter Obi’s Sunday interview on Channels TV, saying the NDC presidential candidate failed to explain how he’d deliver on his campaign promises.
“We can’t run a country on vibes,” Oseni said on Monday’s Arise Morning Show, noting elections are just six months away yet candidates still haven’t released manifestos.
He argued candidates should stop saying “I will do this” and instead explain “how” — citing the power sector as an example, questioning why Nigeria’s 13,000 megawatts installed capacity isn’t translating to more than 5,000 megawatts in transmission.
Obi had earlier promised to tackle insecurity personally, build a production-driven economy and serve only one term if elected.
