Several Super Falcons players have reportedly accused staff at their Casablanca team hotel of stealing money from their wallets.
Super Falcons Players Allege Theft at Casablanca Hotel
Some Super Falcons players are raising the alarm over alleged theft at their team hotel in Casablanca, Morocco. According to a post shared by Pooja on X, several players said money went missing from their wallets while they were away from their rooms at the Marriott Hotel.
Reported amounts allegedly stolen include: Esther Okoronkwo, $700; Rasheedat Ajibade, $200; Osinachi Ohale, $100; Joy Omewa, $120; and Halimatu Ayinde, $100. The claims first surfaced in a video shared by player Esther Okoronkwo, who said the hotel took money from her and her teammates.
Neither the Marriott Hotel nor the Nigeria Football Federation has issued an official statement on the allegations at the time of this report.
