A planned meeting between Federal Ministry of Health officials and FUTATH workers to resolve industrial disputes was called off. Labour unions failed to attend, citing ‘unavoidable engagements’ in a letter dated July 23. The meeting was to address disputes arising from the federal government’s takeover of the hospital from Ondo State, concerning adherence to a transition agreement.
