Insurgents launched a coordinated assault on five locations across Mali on Saturday, targeting army positions in both northern towns and areas south of the capital, Bamako. This latest wave of violence underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by the nation’s leadership.
The Malian armed forces reported repelling the attacks, claiming that 20 terrorists were killed in Sevare and six in Gao, while one pro-government fighter lost their life in Gao and four were injured.
