Early School Days: The author attended Government Secondary School, Fadan Kaje (GSSFK) from 1975-1978, a school formerly St. Joseph and run by Catholic missionaries under Principal Reverend Father John Haverty. Among the Nigerian staff were Alhaji (Dr) Zubair Jibril Maigwari II, now Emir of Birnin Gwari, and the late NYSC teacher Dr. Sule Bello, known as “Weazacap.” These formative years were highlighted by influential educators.
