AKARA AI IMAGE ROW
President Bola Tinubu’s media centre has stirred fresh reactions after sharing an AI-generated image depicting First Lady Oluremi Tinubu frying and selling akara.
According to Vanguard, the image, posted Friday, shows the First Lady at a roadside akara stand wearing an apron reading “Iya Alakara, fueling the nation with love.” It follows her earlier remarks suggesting small businesses like frying akara require little capital, which the Federal Government supports through grants rather than loans.
The post has intensified social media debate, with some Nigerians calling it a mocking response to economic hardship, while others viewed it as harmless humour following widespread online jokes about her original comments.
