You can now generate AI images on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook

Meta has launched Muse Image, its first AI image generation model from Meta Superintelligence Labs, rolling it out across WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook.

Meta’s Muse Image Lets Users Generate, Edit and Share Images With Simple Text Prompts

The company announced the rollout on its website on Tuesday, describing Muse Image as a creative partner that enables users to generate, edit and share high-quality visuals using simple conversational prompts, Nairametrics reports.

“Muse Image acts as the creative partner that knows your world, making it easy to turn your ideas into high-quality visuals that you can download and share anywhere, including directly to your feed, story, or chat,” Meta said.

The model allows users to erase unwanted elements from photos, generate functional QR codes, produce legible infographics, redesign rooms using real products from the web or Facebook Marketplace, and place images in creative contexts — all through natural language instructions. Editing requires only a tap, allowing users to annotate changes directly on a photo without starting over.

The launch also introduces over 30 new AI-powered effects for Instagram Stories and brings image generation into WhatsApp direct message chats with Meta AI, starting in limited countries with wider rollout to follow. Meta confirmed Muse Video is already in development as the next phase of its creative AI roadmap.
