A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the defamation trial of Omoyele Sowore to August 3. The adjournment followed the Attorney-General’s objection to a subpoena for the DSS DG to testify. The AG argued the document was already in evidence and its author had testified.
Counsel for Sowore objected to the AG’s intervention. The court confirmed the subpoena’s service, but the government stated the DG was unaware. The case continues August 3.
