The University of Abuja and SCRiH have inked a lease for a National Agricultural Reference Laboratory. This landmark agreement signifies the project’s move from planning to implementation, aiming to boost Nigeria’s agricultural research, food safety, and scientific infrastructure.
The lab will be a national hub for research and innovation, advancing food safety, biotechnology, and environmental monitoring. SCRiH founder Adebayo Adeleke stated, “Our vision is to build a national institution where science, innovation and education come together to advance food security…”
