President Bola Tinubu has recorded a landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary, sweeping over 10 million votes to defeat his only challenger, businessman Stanley Osifo.
According to Premium Times, the results announced at the national collation centre in Abuja showed Tinubu dominating across all states in the nationwide direct primary held on Saturday. Osifo, by contrast, struggled badly, polling just over 16,000 votes and even recording zero votes in several states.
Party officials described the exercise as largely peaceful, with accreditation and voting carried out across thousands of wards nationwide.
The result effectively seals Tinubu’s position as APC’s flagbearer ahead of the next general election cycle, further consolidating his grip on the ruling party as he heads into another high-stakes political season.
