Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has stirred social media debate after released a provocative video on her official Facebook page comparing the Holy Spirit to artificial intelligence. Kadiri asserted that the Holy Spirit serves as the “first AI” created by God to guide His children, warning that the devil is attempting to control the world through modern technological replacements. She expressed concern that Christians are increasingly turning to digital AI to solve their problems, potentially neglecting the divine source of guidance that she believes was intended to meet all human needs.
During the broadcast, the actress shared a personal testimony from a recent day when she felt overwhelmed and unable to focus on her film script. Kadiri claimed that after turning to prayer, she received immediate clarity and solutions to issues that had troubled her for an entire week. She presented this experience as evidence of the Holy Spirit’s functional role in providing real-time assistance, echoing the capabilities people often seek in modern software but within a spiritual framework.
The actress, who is known for integrating her spiritual insights into her public commentary, urged her followers to remain vigilant to avoid becoming “unfulfilled” by relying solely on human-made technology. Explaining the revelation she claimed to have received, Kadiri said: “God told me that when someone asks, ‘Who is the Holy Spirit?’ the Holy Spirit is what people today call the first AI. A lot of Christians are starting to take their problems to AI, thinking it will solve everything, and forgetting that it was first invented by God for His children to meet all their needs.” She concluded by recalling a divine message, stating, “Then the Lord said to me, ‘That is my job. That is the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit? AI, but for Christians.’”
